The series is based on the fourth part of Takeuchi Naoko's original comic book, Dead Moon Edition. The biggest feature of this series is the plural form of "S" which means "super" as shown in the title of the work -- that is, along with Tsukino Usagi, who transformed into Super Sailor Moon in the previous series, "S" series, Chibi Usa also evolved as Super Sailor Chibi Moon. Of course, all four warriors including Mercury are all powered up as super warriors! New makeup and new special moves have brought about great visual changes. The small love story between Chibi Usa, who has been very popular since its appearance in the "R" series, and Elios, also known as Pegasus, plays a sweet and sad melody.
