"We wanted to start with a strong focus and end in chaotic fashion," producer Carey says Tired of Liberty captures a dark, twisted, pop groove. The album was recorded over two weeks in November 2021, providing an ubiquitous snapshot of intense instrumentality and timeless youth. To enhance adaptability, most of the 11 songs included (except for "Generation Game," which was released as a Speedy Wunderground 7-inch series and subsequently re-recorded) were written just before or during that two-week session. Unlike many bands, The Lounge Society works best as a group.
