Due to illness, he retired as a pianist at the age of only 44.''He returned in 1952 and performed recitals and recordings.'' The 1937 and 1938 recordings included on this edition are ❓❓❓ There are no scratches on the disc surface. This is an amateur inspection with farsightedness.
